Do you have any idea what is like to wake up in a ridiculous gorgeous medieval town like this? I almost didn’t want to leave.

But it was walking by vineyards, tractors, and a forest for the remaining of the day. I could have taken a detour and cut the day in half but no way.

River crossings with the trolley are not as hard as you may think. But sticking my feet into glacier cold water at a stream is. I’m glad I went for it.

A coffee at the only open bar in a 32 km day, take note.

I could not believe my eyes when I saw Monteriggioni atop a hill in the distance. This just keeps getting better and better, except a group of 15 Argentinian Pilgrims prevented me from getting a bed in the Ostelo.

But thanks to Brian’s donation I stayed instead at an AirB&B within the historic village.

Gelato makes everything better. Having a fan to dry your clothes is the icing on the cake.

Dinner was steak and red wine, say no more.
